Been issued a PCN, but have already paid correct fee!

Hi, got a PCN from Parking Eye yet phoned and paid correct fee for parking - only possible explanation (except PE being scum) is that the guy on the phone didn't type in the correct reg number.
Should I just appeal saying I have already paid and provide the bank statement evidence or do a full appeal as per newbies thread?

Quentin, are you over-thinking this? Please explain why, having paid the debt, you think that the identity of the driver is significant.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

lots of info missing , who did you phone to pay for parking , parking eye (to my knowledge) do not do a pay for parking time by phoneSave a Rachael

If you can prove you paid then the contract was performed and the penalty clause was not correctly applied as conditions of the initial contract where adhered to.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

Do as advised in the NEWBIES thread by adding a line to the template appeal saying 'the driver phoned and paid so I believe the operative on the other end of the phone may have misheard the VRN which is not the fault of the driver. Proof of payment attached (bank statement).'
They will probably cancel if you show them the bank statement, as PE often do.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
