Even without the need to cancel after 12 months, easily beatable with a number of Instant Access Savings accounts.
If it was 0.5% cashback then they might stand half a chance.0 -
Guess it depends where you are in terms of managing your money. There are plenty of people who don't know how the pounds escape from their accounts each month.Debt free. Any interest payable is from them to me.:j0

So, from the demos on the site...
1) I can make payments to other people
2) I can divide up the money in my account virtually
3) I can categorise payments (I assume according to merchant code, with manual override).
What is worth £24 a year, that a Lloyds account with money manager and a spreadsheet can't achieve?0 -
Nothing. Yorkshire/Clydesdale Banks have never been groundbreakers and this isn't either.0
-
Their own current account direct account pays 2% on balances up to £3k - with no monthly fee.
They can't even beat their own existing accounts - and this is for an app online service.
What exactly is the point?0 -

Should add that above info hasn't yet been confirmed by b but was on this is money.

Guess we'll see the full details on Tuesday.
Does anyone currently use Yorkshire or Clydesdale? - does the demo look much different then what you have already?
Looks like they'll love anyone with initials 'BB'0 -
The app is available to download on the app store.
It has some t&c's in there and one interesting thing is that it states it requires you to choose Yorkshire or Clydesdale when you sign up - so potentially more of an add on currently then stand alone / a re skinned Yorkshire or Clydesdale account... Which seems daft because if the app is so good why didn't they give it to all their customers too (aside from loosing them all if they started charging £2 per month).0 -
I assume this is to compete against the "social" banks like Atom etc, certainly would trust this over all these random new openers. But once again nothing new but something to attract teens.0
