Outside electrical supply cost

Hi Experts
Just wanted to have a idea about how much it will cost to fit an outside electrical supply. I'm thinking about one of those boxes with 2 plug-ins. The supply is already in the shed but I want to get ride of the shed and put the box on the wall. So no extra wiring required - just a new box and the time of course.
May thanks.

You will need someone out to establish your requirements and the suitability of the existing supply.

There is absolutely no point blindly telling you how much it will be without seeing it or knowing what it is you have in mind.

Thanks for commenting. I don't feel very confident with electricity so I will be calling someone in - just wondered if it's a fairly quick job ad what the going hourly rate is nowadays.

A professional won't just "fit a box" for you - they'll have to check the existing cabling is safe/legal. They might quote to run a new/armoured cable from the house to where the shed is now and then fit the new box.

It's highly likely as a lot of shed electrics are "bloke fancied some leccy in the shed, so ran a cable down the garden".

Pastures is right. A pro will only be able to stick a box on the wallif the cable is armoured and terminates in a distribution box with the correct trip for outdoor electricity.

Thanks for your posts. It's reassuring. I have armoured cable in place and it was done by a qualified electrician about 15 years - so it's a good job and it has it's own trip. Sadly my old electrician has retired - just have to find another one. and get the job done.
    Many thanks.
