Morning :hello:

Speky No I don't use Kon Marie or any other method – I don't like instructions or rules :D

MrsLurcherwalker You should take the little man to Westonbirt at Christmas, it's magical and he'll love it!

Scampi was terrible again yesterday morning while we were out. He's been fine in the house, he's even just grumbling quietly at people walking past instead of barking like a loon – and sometimes not reacting at all - and he comes away from the window when told. I feel like we've gone backwards with walks on the lead (off lead he's great) so I'm taking him out this morning but only for 20 minutes to see how he gets on.
He was barking like mad at something in the garden yesterday then trotted around the garden with a dead rat in his mouth :D He was so proud of himself but the rat must've been dead for a while before he found it, it was cold and stiff, lol. The poison had probably killed it so I had to lure him away with peanut butter in case he ate it. Luckily he finds peanut butter much tastier than poison-filled rat. I usually check the garden for any escaped chickens before I let him out there, I now have to go out there and check behind pots and under bushes for dead rodents too. My life is so glamorous :D

I washed the hall lightshades, they look so much better but the glue has come unstuck on part of one of the frames so I'll have a go at fixing that today. Not much else to do, just one load of washing and run the dyson round. I'll carry on with my crochet after that.

Morning everyone,

Cold, frosty but wall to wall blue sky here, just watched the weather forecast and next week it's supposed to finally get much warmer, let's hope it actually happens.

Had a lie-in this morning, only woke up when Rosie dog cleared the garden of birds by barking! She usually leaves them alone but occasionaly decides it's her territory and they had better leave.

Went to Mr Sparks yesterday and finally used up my survey vouchers, was a bit disappointed in the YS options but did pick up some nice ham and olives which will do for some lunches. Did pay out for some spiralized butternut squash which we had with prawns and was delicious. Had a view to buy a spiralizer as the pre-packaged stuff is so expensive, sounds like I might need to practice though Dumpling :) Hope your fruit and veg box works out well, we are spending so much on them at the moment really must do some research to see what schemes there are in this area.

We might head off to the football this afternoon weather permitting, it's the last home game of the season so should be a good atmosphere. Other than that the WM will be chugging away and hopefully everything can be dried on the line.

Have a good day everyone, take care folks x

Hi all
Hubby's been dropped at work, the fish have been fed, DGS is still asleep, WM is on it's 4th load of DD2's washing!
I've been to the butchers and bakers, and the for the Co-op £5 deal for DD1.
I have to say that there are advantages to sleeping with the dog, unlike most men I've slept with she doesn't snore, fart or wriggle around all night.
Hugs Hester
Chin up, Titus out.
• Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

We either had a power cut or surge at 6 am, the front door bell rang and the alarm clock was flashing. I will have to re set all the clocks. I am still in bed, was very tired when we got home yesterday. I did put the washer on at 6 so need to get that on the line and another load in.

OH is bowling so no supper needed tonight.

No idea how cold it is, but the house has warmed up, had the fire on last night and put the sitting room storage heater on. Fingers crossed we will not need it for much longer.

Hester, that cash will be great and hopefully you will sell all your other stuff. Do you have Gumtree in your area. When I had a lot of stuff to sell I used that, it's cash when the people collect and no pay pal, nicking half the money when they pay. Ebay do not get a cut either. When I sold my expensive machine to fund a move I lost over £200 in fees.

Thanks for that Csarina, I'll see what our local gumtree is like.

Morning all,

Nice bright day here but very cold too, have some washing in the machine and another towel load to go in after.

DD's 'friend' is coming down to see her today, he was in the year above her at uni but left last year, they have been back in touch and he is coming to visit her, I suspect a romance might blossom :D

So she will be frantically cleaning this morning and I will be helping but at a much more sedate pace. Will go through the whole house, tidying dusting and hovering, the bathroom and kitchen need a good clean too.

This afternoon when the youngsters go out we will take the bear for a lovely long walk, its such a lovely day, talking of the bear we were laughing so much last night watching Evie 'burying' a crisp under a packet of cotton wool pads, she covered it completely with her nose and looked so pleased with herself afterwards :rotfl:

Have good days all xx

I have achieved very little this morning. Excellent, I am dog-tired at present. I am going out later, to see a friend.

Judi, I don't mean to be rude but your husband needs to have a word with himself.

My OH has been to the supermarket and put away the shopping, that is his job as he likes to have the freezer stacked the way he likes it. Occasionally if I am cross, I move an item. He used to have a shopping list arranged in line with the route he took round the supermarket but now he's going to a different one.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
• Good morning everyone!!

The other half is treating me to a Chinese afternoon tea in a nice restaurant in Glasgow! Was a deal she saw on Groupon, so I'm looking forward to it. Looks to be quite a nice day for it too!

Working all day tomorrow, which I can see far enough. Need to do prep for my interview on Tuesday too. Don't want to leave it too late.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!!

:rotfl: For some strange reason, I can identify with this! :D

Speky I have terminal brainfog and will forget by Tuesday, so I shall wish you luck for your interview now while it's still in my head to do so! :o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Evening everyone.
Joy - I'm back in my own nest again, unpacked, a washing load done, clothes hung out and dried, tea made and eaten and a glass of wine drunk.

The builders have left most things tidy, there's a new half wall of plasterboard, new piece of skirting board and a new half door frame. Hopefully they have stopped the damp problem, I'll hear more on Monday or perhaps Tuesday. There's bags of builders rubbishy outside the front door still though I'm sure they'll move them next week. Only problem is they've cut the telephone cable from base station to wall socket - no idea why!

Bird feeders are now filled up and the birds are back.

Lovin' all the doggie stories.
