Difficult situation and advice needed.

So I will try to give as much as I can. My marriage ended quite quickly and not on good terms due to physical violence. My ex has been charged and awaiting trial. Bail conditions in place, he is not allowed near me or to contact me.

We have 2 children who reside with me and due to current situation don't see their dad. I would like to think this will change once case is settled.

He has his personal items, and only marital assets remain in the house (rented in my name). Some of our items are on hire purchase / credit in my name mainly and nothing in joint names.

Question 1: when going through divorce / separation what sort of items would be considered assets? Does material items come into this ie home furnishings TV, cooker etc.

Question 2: is there any reasons he should be contributing financially to his children at this stage (other than his own ideas). I mean legally?

Question 3: has anyone been through divorce for unreasonable behaviour that's been apart for less than 2 years and been granted it?

Thank you.

If you are not yet divorced then you are still married and he is not an ex.
    2. yes, presuming he works, child maintenance is due (approx 20% of earnings)
    3. yes, if uncontested. At least, the process can be started within 2 years, in the example I have knowledge of it was after 2 years when the process was completed, the formalities can drag on.

Yes, my petition was accepted about 10 months after separating, the time apart isn't relevant. I was told UB is the most commonly used grounds for divorce.
You just need to give a few examples of behaviour that you find unreasonable.
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

I am not sure of your meaning here or what you are trying to get across. Legally I am married, but actually I am separated in process of seeking a divorce. So yes he is an ex, I don't want to confuse lines with legal status vs actual status.
