Mind you, this is a 'rule' http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=14070827&postcount=7 and as we know that doesn't happen. I think the 'rules' could do with an overhaul and setting out more clearly.

I've never waded through all those stickied threads because there's so much of it, a lot of which is not adhered to so what's the point of it being there?

That post is not the actual "rule" although this is

I thanked it, still didn't remember it was there. It's okay posting a new "guidance" thread but it's not complete (doesn't state about buying magazines etc), and that's how "rules/guidance" gets mixed up ... I'm just saying a little clarity and confirmation in 1 place would be best for all. That thread will slip down the forum and people will not see it.

As I say, there are "rule" threads which are so out of date, yet newbies get pointed to them ...

edit: as highlighted by your post above :D who on earth reads everything? and there's conflicting information.

I don't want to get anyone's back up on this :o

What I just wanted to clarify was whether people felt that in the main, it would be better if someone - it doesn't have to be me, it could be anyone on here - kept an overview of the Northern&Shell comps because they are slightly different to any of the other 'regular/recurring' comps in that the prizes are shared over 5 sites; for example, if there are 15 'monthly' comps then that potentially translates to 75 individual threads!

I don't have any issue with someone posting any of these up (although I was grateful to fire**fly for PM-ing me to let me know they were up!) but I just wanted to garner opinion on whether people still wanted them monitoring at all! I thought the poll would be the quickest way to ascertain that. If anyone doesn't like my 'poll' there is always the report button. HTH :)

I would prefer you, Biker*Chick to post them like before i.e. all together in one post and the odd, late one separately...

I feel this would also be better because the chances of one being missed increases if a number of people are posting them and might think someone else has a late one covered, also this would rule out possible duplicates.

    So I voted Biker*Chick :A

so do we all wait for them to be posted when they're all open & put on one thread or is it good to have the one's that are live at the time & posted straight away when spotted they're open by others?
i'm easy either way but know most peeps like the comps to be posted as soon as they are live.

I wouldn't want people to wait fire**fly which is why I was ever so grateful you posted those early OK! ones and that you also PM'd me to let me know they were up :A At least then I could compile my list and am now on 'watch' for them appearing on the other N&S sites :)

I am always receptive to PMs (nice ones preferred, of course ;) :rotfl:) and if I am caught up with work and RL then it's good to know that other members of our lovely forum will be watching out if I'm not around :A

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

You can't poll members ...... The forum doesn't work like that. .

Actually it does, the decision for the click to wins not to be posted was the result of a poll.

I like the way it is. I prefer regular posters, you get used to the layout/format people use when posting them regularly plus they don't tend to get missed.
