Help! Easyjet prices keep changing during booking!

I was just going through the booking process. The price is up from last night. I have deleted cookies and started again but the price is still up.

Then as I'm about to complete the booking process it says there are no more seats at that price and do I want to confirm the booking at a new higher price!

Anyone have any experience of this?

I haven't booked.

Airfares change, frequently. It's not unusual for the price to change from last night. Sometimes the price you see is for only one or a couple of seats left. For example, if you're booking for 2 seats, but only 1 is left at the lower price, it's not going to let you book 2 at the lower price.

It's frustrating. I had the same thing happen to me on Ryanair with my last flight to Venice. Right when I hit book, it then came back saying the seats were no longer available. Sounded like a scam to me.

If you want to be absolutely sure they aren't somehow tracking you and charging you more, try a brand new browser (or on a different computer), put in one day different dates, then they will show the results for the days before and after. That way they should not be able to track you.

I don't think these companies track people though, I think it's just really a case of limited seats.

They onlt have a certain amount of seats for sale at the lower prices I believe.

I booked on jet2 to Milan from Leeds then went back through the process again afterwards. My £5 flights were now at £10 as I must have got the last 2 at the £5 price.

This week I have booked with Ryanair from liverpool to Belfast and took care to book 5 tickets at the same time for 1p each way to ensure we all got the same price as booking seperately may have made the price go up.

Got to book early for the budget airlines.

    Thanks, Alchemista for the advice.

I went through the process you suggested and, although I did not see last night's price, I was offered the price I had when I started the booking process, not the higher one, so saving £10:p Big Thanks!

The reason I didn't book last night was because I was asking for a discount code on the Discounts forum, but apparently there are none at the moment.

    BenL,
your advice certainly rings true. If I had booked early with prices like yours I wouldn't have needed a discount code for £20 off! As I'm travelling later this month the flights were hardly a bargain but still well below scheduled airline prices and with better flight times.;)
