Tax credits overpayment

Hi All
I have a overpayment of tax credits of £5237 which has now been passed to a debt collection agency, would anybody know if I was to make them a offer to clear the debt how much should I offer, all advice would be appreciated

Do you mean to pay less? That isn't an option with tax credits debt. If you can't pay the full amount they will want you to set up a monthly payment plan.
