Insuring a "non standard" build house

Does anyone know of an insurence company willing to quote a reasonable amount for contents and buildings on a "non standard" build house?
I am currently paying over £1000 a year for both of these (added together) for my 3 bed mid terrace timber framed and walled 1960's house.

I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
