Warning over Natwest message alerts

    I think the "warning" shoudl have been over running your account cut to the bone so that glitches like this can cause an issue, plus relying on text messages to alert you. Its not just the Nat West service that could go wrong, texts dont necessarily arrive on time (or at all).

    Last week I had a text from a friend telling me they were running late coming to my house. The text arrived later than they did by several hours.

    Even if you need the reminders, soemthing in the reminder system on your phone would be more reliable. Or even, old school, a note on the calendar on the wall in your kitchen.

    Hehe, I had one a few weeks ago which arrived several DAYS after the friend had.

    I run my Rewards account "cut to the bone" as I prefer to leave my money in an interest paying account for as long as possible.

    Sure, so do i our main current account, but you should manage cash flow on it some how even if its paper.

    your choice, but there is a downside, which you are now aware of.
