Hi all, I have had success with this forum getting a charge notice cancelled from a sainsbury car park in January from using the template letter for the BPA member companies, they took over two months to reply with a short email saying they would not pursue the ticket
however I have recently received a charge notice from highview parking from our local tesco with the usual bumpf on it but the complaints and appeals procedures asks on this one to send in the appeal by post or go to appealpcn where it gives you two choices once logged in to say either
all details correct you are the driver and i want to pay
or
details are not correct/i am not the driver
i'm loathed to click on either of them, the last appeal for the sainsbury carpark gave an email address which was easy so my question is should i click and continue on the site or send in by post? has anyone any experience of the appealpcn site?
I have scoured this site and read all the highview info i can find but unless i've missed it nothing regarding the appealpcn site
thanks for any help

If it offers postal appeal then do it that way, there's no need to answer their 'paint yourself into a corner' trick question. Use the blue text initial appeal from the newbies sticky, timed for despatch as advised in the sticky.
Important - send it first class post with free certificate of posting from your post office counter. NOT 'Signed For' (aka Recorded Delivery)Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

thanks for the reply, i thought it was sort of a loaded question only giving two options and didnt want to fall into a trap with it
I used the initial appeal text last time with success so hopefully it'll work again
thanks again0 -
Hi, I sent an appeal letter recorded delivery, not having found this thread. It doesn't seem to have been delivered and now I've received a 'reminder' demanding full charge of £95 and threatening debt recovery if no payment. I have proof of postage but not of delivery.
What should I do?
Appeal was on grounds of very poor signage re anpr cameras etc at entrance to free carpark.
Thanks.0 -

Go back to the forum thread list (one page back from here), then scroll down the left hand side (a couple of inches from the top of the page) and look for a blue oblong button with - surprisingly - 'New Thread' imprinted on it!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. so good news all, after sending off the appeal letter on day 13 after the notice was sent i then received a reminder telling me i had forfeited the right to pay the lower amount and must pay the £70 fine....then today received a letter saying my charge notice has been cancelled as they have noted the points made on my appeal and no further action will be taken
another win as i'm now 2-0 up0
