Friday 29th April - what small DFW things will you do today?

Evening all

Late post today, and not much done as I am not feeling great. Tried to get a Drs appointment online and there weren't any up till 28 May and no option to book later than that  Phoned the surgery, and managed to get a cancellation, for 9 May, which is about what I had expected (it isn't an emergency, an ongoing thing). The receptionist confirmed that they really do not have any non-emergency appointments for the next month, unless someone cancels
Not good - I may look to change - we have been with them for years, but there have been so many new houses built here that the town has almost doubled in size, but with the same services as before, so I am not sure that would be the answer
If I were younger I would definitely move away from the overcrowded South of England though!
Anyway, enough moaning, today's less than impressive list
Nothing spent
HM meals from stores
A bit of gardening, between hailstorms
Decent dog walk during one of the sunny spells (as opposed to rain, cold wind and hail that we have also had today
) for free exercise
Listed 3 items on ebay, two for business, and one for me
Must try to keep this up!
A few surveys for onepoll
Checked FPL
May look for more ebay items after dinner!0 -
Dawn and Foxgloves get well soon. Dawn that is very bad news about your surgery. I have heard similar in my husbands families home town. They have built loads of New houses but no new schools or dental surgeries or GPs. Considering in their area it is a lot of OAP's to and the nearest hospital is 10 miles away it is a reciepe for disaster long term.
Zig hope you enjoyed your swim.
MTC don't be embarassed here. You are among friends.
So today I joined a company that source people for focus groups. I have applied for one that is in London next week on guess what topic? Yep debt. Hopefully I will qualify as that is £50 cash for 2 hours work.
I have also signed up to do a boot camp online from that lady blogger I was talking about at the weekend. She seems full of ace tips for things I haven't heard of before so I'm really looking forward to it. It's over the next 6 weeks.
Right on that note I'm off YSing now OH is on duty with the kids. Wish me luck

Main site recommends the top 3 junior ISA's I've got with Nat1pnw1de because they are already my bank. Just received the transfer form. Will do this over the weekend.
Also received a new TSB bank account info. They give you 5% cash back on contactless spend. The limit is £100 per month, but that's £5 free cash each month.
I've been away with work for 2 days, 1 night so I had free meals and fuel. I stayed near a shopping outlet so got a jacket my DD wanted that had £30 off.
I've sold 2 things on eBay must parcel them up tomorrow as went to watch the Tour de Yorkshire for free today! Had a flask of coffee in the car to warm up afterwards!
Lego mum what is number plate lotto? Can you tell me the website please?
Oh and received any Angry Birds neck scarf that I won from the Pepperami packets.Competition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -

Was wondering if any of you :money:friends could offer some advice. I am looking at opening ISA's for the children and doing research. My eldest has a CTF when they were around which was with Tesco and I believe is now with Nat-pest! Now, I believe he cant have an ISA as well, am I right? Would we need to transfer his CTF to an ISA? I believe his CTF is a shares one (please bear with me, I am not very knowledgeable about these things!) and I am wondering if I should just stick with the CTF or move to an ISA? I just want a standard ISA for the kiddies, nothing complicated, just something for me to build a pot for their future. If anyone could offer advice, it would be greatly appreciated.x
A child may have a CTF or a Junior ISA. A child can't have both.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Hiya pals
Well I wasn't around yesterday because I had a day from hell at work - deleted a file by mistake that I was trying to fix...Then, in the process of fixing it I spotted loads of other stuff wrong that some guy did last year so I then had to fix his mistakes too!!! This meant it took me from 9-1 to do an hour's job! Also meant I didn't get any lunch (although they brought me free sandwiches from a client meeting so it wasn't all bad
) and that just set the tone for the full day... Then I was out teaching last night so I didn't get a proper break and was working 9am - 9pm. TFI Friday...and the bank holiday weekend...and pay day :T
Nice to see you posting Ziggy - take care of yourself - lots of rest!
Night in for us tonight - got a £10 meal deal thingy - such great value with the vino
Tonight we're on HM veggie curry though - v cheap, healthy and delicious - my favourite combo
I need to sort May's budget and YNAB but can't face it tonight - it's a tomorrow morning job if ever there was one...
Night all :beer:0 -
