Hermes delivery person lost my parcel!

So, I've used Hermes a few times now to deliver my parcels.

First disappointment! Hermes delivery person left an illegible note. :mad:The parcel was nowhere to be found. I put in a complaint on "your support" section of the website, with a copy of the note.

Hermes replied same day, stating the parcel was left beside the garage and marking the status as "resolved". But I checked out my recipient's house on google.streetview and there is no side access, the garages are attached, so he must have left it in front of the garage, in full view of the street. Anyway, it is gone (if it was ever left) and it's as good as him throwing it away! I'm fuming mad!

Where did you buy the item? Contact the seller with all the info and ask them to claim/dispute the delivery.

Might be an idea to read the threads before replying, OP is the seller.

Contact My Hermes again and tell them that the recipient can not find the parcel. They should ask you to put a claim in for lost parcel. I have had this a few times but each time the buyer has found the parcel after I have been asked by My Hermes to put a claim in.

As below OP sent the parcel. Any claim will be lost by a buyer as online tracking shows the item being delivered.

I misread the OP as I was reading by phone but thank you for the pleasant correction.

Op, you need to dispute the delivery directly with Hermes. You can do this via their online form or via social media. They are very good with claims. Keep in touch with your buyer and let them know you are doing all you can.

    Thanks to all above.

    Update:
Hermes are insisting my parcel was delivered. I have responded by asking if they have spoken to their delivery person. They have ignored my question in their reply. The fact is, according to my recipient and the Hermes note, that the parcel was left outside the front of the house, which is completely open, no front fence or wall even. When I placed the order with Hermes I did not specify a "safe place" but left it blank. This should put me on stronger ground, don't you think? Hermes website suggests "safe place" means inside a porch or garage.
