Confused Student

I'm not so many years out of uni that my experience is too dated (I hope!)
I got a student credit card when I was 18. It was with the same bank I held my student current account with. I'd banked with them for all of 3 months at the time but they gave me the maximum allowed limit. So I'd say that's a decent way to go! Do you have a student current account?
Keep as much of your financial affairs registered to your parents' address as you can. Then for the 3 year address history just put how long the family have lived in that home.
You will have bills for your student flats and that's fine. The addresses might show up as "linked addresses" on your credit file. One of mine did, but it hasn't caused any problems.
If you're not already, register to vote at your parents' address. There's no problem being registered at more than one address (as long as you don't try to vote twice in the same election).
As for having multiple bank accounts, just put one on the form. It's probably best to use the one that has been open longest. I have loads of current accounts (for the interest rates) and always use my main one for applications.
It all worked ok for me! I got a CC with rewards when I graduated, and got a sole mortgage last year at the age of 24.
I'd just like to add something to keep in mind for the future. I had a friend who kept all his finances registered at his parents' house and didn't change them, even after he'd graduated and settled. He then applied for a CC at his own flat and was rejected. The CC company couldn't see his history because it was at a different address. So the moral of the story is, whatever you say your address is, be consistent!0
