Car insurance claim question

I am a policy holder on a car insurance policy. A named driver on my policy had an accident which we claimed on. I'm planning on changing insurer (without the other named driver). Do I, as the policy holder need to declare that I have made a previous claim?

Yes you need to mention a claim under the previous policy, so it matches what is on CUE ( insurers central database)The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0

Thank you for your reply. Even though I didn't have the accident myself, do I have to put that I (as the policy holder) was at fault? I'm currently getting some quotes and have been asked this question and I'm not sure how to answer. The options are either "The policy holder is at fault", "third party at fault" or "both parties". I'm guessing that I tick the first one but I'm unsure, maybe there should be another option that isn't included in the online form? If you know the answer, I would really appreciate your help. Thanks.0
