Never thought of Saga as a "hard Sell", however i got their Credit Card, i only got it to use for their offers, not to use as a general credit card.
After about 2 weeks, i got a letter saying "We notice u haven't used your credit card could you phone this no. and confirm that you did get the card, this is for security purposes- Which i did. However after another 2 weeks i got a really terse letter from the saying that "Unless you use the card within 10 days, "it will be cancelled.
ive never experienced this before, and ive had several cards Just what are "Saga" playing at?
PS i think ill use it for a small sum, just to be awkward:A

Good Morning,
This is an appalling example of lack of corporate social responsibility. A business that has grown on the strength of providing specialist and supposedly beneficial services to the elderly (a vulnerable group in our society) using bullying tactics and harassment to extort money.
I do not think that you should feel forced to use the card and yield to this pressure. By way of exercising consumer power, why not write to them and ask,1. who is the financial services provider that operates the credit card scheme for them2. moreover, please can they draw to your attention the specific part of the terms and conditions of use which stipulates that the card must be used within a certain time?Publish the results here and send the story to the tabloid press. Am I right in thinking that Saga are owned by a private equity firm such as those that editors’ have been so keen to write many column inches about lately?
