Ok hopefully easy question.
NRAM have updated my credit file with a full years worth (about 16 months in total) of Payment missed.
Ive contacted them and they said yes we have updated incorrectly...they opened a complaint for me and ive recieved a letter stating they have 8 weeks to deal with complaint.
I was under the impression it was 28 days for credit file...?

If you raise a dispute via the CRAs, the CRAs under s159 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 must respond in 28 days to say what action they have taken or not taken. Mostly it will be the response that the creditor says it's OK, so we can do nothing.
So that is likely what you have read somewhere.
As far as a complaint to the creditor itself that may be escalated to the FOS (& ICO perhaps) if not resolved, their rules say the creditor has up to 8 weeks to issue a final response.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Ahh i see...it was only to have NRAM update the correct details, not a complaint as such.
But as they have raised it as a complaint...sit tight for 8 weeks i guess.0
