Defective phone charging pack but bought under priced...

Hi All,
I recently bought a phone charging pack from tesco at the marked price of £10. Upon checkout it came up as £18.75, though they did sell it to me at the £10 price advertised. I have discovered it is slightly defective and the charging cable only works at certain angles.
Can i take it back and expect an exchange without having to pay the top up £8.75 that would reflect the current advertised price?

You can expect a refund of the £10 you paid .
You will be relying on the goodwill of the vendor for a no pay exchange .0 -
Surely a like for like exchange will be given, if the goods are faulty (unless they were reduced because of a fault),but any refund would only be for the price paid ?0
