Slow Cooker Help

Our cooker has broken so we can't use it at the moment. We have a slow cooker, but we don't have a microwave.
Does anyone know what I can make in the slow cooker without using the hob?
I've already made a lentil stew, and a lentil and chickpea curry. The only recipes I can find online need to fry onions and veggies on the hob first (which obviously I can't do). Help! Need something for dinner tomorrow for me and OH.

I know a lot of the recipes say to saute first, but I never do. I just put everything in on low and cook it all day. One thing that's easy is stew. Veggies, whatever meat, water to cover it all by about an inch, chopped onion and garlic, spices and any seasoning you think sounds good. You can add canned tomatoes, or white beans. Actually any kind of beans.
You can google by naming a few things you have, say 'chicken cannelloni beans slow cooker'
and recipes will come up.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

I don't brown anything that goes into the slow-cooker, not even meat, so any recipe you can find that is for the slowcooker or can be adapted to use the slow-cooker will be fine.0

As above, just put your ingredients in the slow cooker raw. You might find it better to cut them up a bit smaller than usual first to allow for the lack of pre cooking/browning0

if you'r not happy putting meat raw, you could make something like corn beef hash or use cooked ham
or use quorn? i put quorn in from frozen0 -
You can cook whole joints / chickens in the slow pot. Just drop it in when you go to work (or whatever) and fish them out 8hrs later for evening meal. Slightly off putting that there's no browning / crisping but don't worry - its cooked. A bit like steamed chicken. And - as I've commented on in a previous thread - the meat doesn't dry out or burn when you go out, get !!!!ed on a local pub lock in, and leave the chicken cooking in the pot for 36 hours ... the bones do collapse like making stock though
A cheap electric steamer (£25 or so - and quite a useful beastie even when the oven is working again) and your back in the "normal" world of meat, tatties and veg.
We lived like this for three weeks while the kitchen was refitted.0
