Insurance for Year Abroad working

Hello.
This is my situation.
Year abroad in Germany (12 months) - taking laptop, mobile phone etc. Medical insurance already covered.
What's my best option?

If you are going with the military then they have special schemes for this type of thing.
If not, would suggest looking at getting the cover out there as many insurers apply what is known as territorial limits - ie. UK only.
Maybe get a cheap UK travel policy to cover you for the first couple of weeks while you get things sorted.0
