Not massive money making efforts today but did do a couple of studies on Prolific for £2.35.

well done. I managed to achieve a few yesterday, first time in ages, but only because I was at home and could do them as I was getting notified.

got an email today from DCD Philaletics. Daren has received my stamps and weighed them and including postage I am receiving £1.57, already paid into my bank account.

I know it doesn't sound like a lot but I only send envelopes, rather than waiting until I have a kilo and stuff.

And it all adds up. :money:
  • Hi all, Some really interesting stuff here - I'll get back to some of them later. In the meanwhile, another collection today netted £45 and made a nice big space in the garden at the same time. I've got a big auction item ending at the weekend and 20 watchers but no bids as yet, so I'm hoping for big things then.

Hello everyone, sorry I've been quiet had a very rough few weeks.

Lots going on, applied for some help from ssafa and were told basically we are too skint for them to help us but hey ho it was worth a try.

Spoke to stepchange last night (2 hours on the phone) and they recommended we do a debt management plan but it will take up 12 years to pay it all off it we do but that is based on what we can pay right now which might get better. The thing that is putting me off is you can't pay extra if you do a bit better one month so I am not sure about it yet. It would reduce our monthly payments by another £140 but as we have gotten the monthly payments down from £600 to £280 already and we are managing I am not sure what to do. At the moment we can pay our bills at the moment but we have no back up if we need anything and money to buy furniture that we desperately need. If we did the Debt management plan we could save and buy the things we need and then up our payments when we are more comfortable. I don't know it's all very complicated.

Earnings wise I am building up to cash out on a few things but nothing to declare at the moment, and no more eBay sales yet. I did get my extra tax rebate that I was waiting for though so that is £112 to add for this month.

So my new total is £203.57

I'm sorry that your cash situation is so tight :(

You mentioned needing new furniture. Are you really sure you actually need it? The only piece of furniture I can actually think of as being a necessity is a mattress. If you feel that you do actually need something (eg you have a bad back so can't get up from sitting on the floor), then check freecycle.

Many years ago I had $10 each week after my rent and bills were paid. I learned pretty fast what the essentials actually were in my life.

    Very best wishes.

£11.40 to add for a few days tips.

Just won 0.10c on the grid on clixsense. Not a lot but its brought me to the $8 payout threshold. :j

Not really sure if I am going to carry on with the site as it isnt really a good earner for me. I let my premium go as doing surveys bores me rigid. Will take an age to reach payout just doing the ads but then they dont take long so not sure what to do.

Got lots of shrapnel to take to the bank. Might do that later today.

Have a good day all. :D
I started on clixsense but then went to daily clicks on inbox. If you're happy to click things try the site Aesop has mentioned further on today - it looks quite good :D
Don't know whether I mentioned it on here before but I've been kicked of the Royal Mail surveys:mad:..............

............I've been doing these surveys for years, a nice reasonably easy way of making a bit of extra money. I'm not a happy bunny today:(
Sorry to hear that CBC - hope you can get reinstated at some point.

New total £127.78 / £155, so nearly there for my 'relaxed' monthly target :)

Sorry to hear of those having troubles. For those that are a bit WOO WOO like me, tricky mercury is retrograde again and causing havoc. Communications and electronics are a nightmare during this period, but it'll start calming down again after 22nd. Hang in there!! :)
Well done on the money-making :j

Would that explain why when I updated my tablet it now refuses to recognise my finger-print and doesn't give me the back-up password option ? This means I'M LOCKED OUT !!

Sorry to hear you are having problems Shelley. I don't know much about these debt management schemes I'm afraid. Maybe you can look at other threads on here or go to CAB. My gut feeling is to try to hang on and pay off as much as you can as quickly as you can. Look at anything that can make you a few extra pennies.

I must say that I agree with Listerbelle about the furniture. I often remember that we had just a mattress, old fridge-freezer, an old cooker and a box of assorted cutlery and crockery (all donated by friends) just seven years ago. Yes - it's not nice and it can be a bit depressing - but you can do it I'm sure.

    Hiya everyone

Well - interesting day. Thanks to Aesop's link I made £6.85 on the new site and a further £6.50 on other surveys  Really pleased about that.

I'm actually going shopping for me t/m. This is an occasion in our house, but I need to buy some new sandals and a couple of summer things and DH needs some new undies. I joined the MnS sparky thing and they've sent me a coupon for 20% off starting t/m which I'm hoping to use. I looked for a coupon for Cl*rks but none available atm for what I would like, but I'll use my TSB card so will get 5% back on all my clothes and shoe shopping.

Hope you all have a super Thursday
