I am very disappointed that Prime Minister Teresa May condones the unfair treatment inflicted on so many by Kensington Mortgage Company, owned by Northview Group by opening their head office in 2016, after they had been fined for treating borrowers in financial difficulty so unfairly: https://www.businessmag.co.uk/maidenhead-theresa-may-opens-northview-groups-new-headquarters/0

Hi Maggy50,
They don’t respond unless you email and copy in the CEO and various other organisations the KMC CEO doesn’t want you making aware of the situation you have faced:
So write FORMAL COMPLAINT to mark.arnold@northviewgroup.com
Other email contacts are:
Graeme.Carr@northviewgroup.com and
Denis.Thairu@northviewgroup.com
I would email to all and cc the FCA: consumer.queries@fca.org.uk
They can’t respond and investigate individual complaints but they have a supervisory department that can look into KMC hence it was such an investigation that led to KMC being fined and forced to refund vast sums of money back to those they had ripped off.
I would also cc. The Parliamentary Treasury Committee - it is the Treasury Committee that will give the FCA ‘encouragement’ to put in place a mechanism for redress in their rules and regulations.
The address for Northview Group is Ascot House, Maidenhead Office Park, Maidenhead SL6 3QQ. Since it was this office that Teresa May opened in 2016 for Northview Group, I have written to Teresa May, highlighting my dismay at this as I note that she has always promised to champion the life chances of people from poorer backgrounds. I have also stated that I feel this would be a cause of great concern to many ordinary people, who have dealt with financial hardship and who in addition to these other challenges they may face, have been unfairly treated and even lost their homes, be irresponsible and levy people with unfair and excessive charges nor do they respond to requests, as you, as I experienced for years. Nor do Northview Group provide any effort to put things right.
I guarantee once you start writing like this you might start to get a response.
With regards to Solicitors up until October 2016 Kensington Mortgage Company used Walker Morris. Post 2016 they use Dentons Solicitors.
I have also made a complaint about the unfair and excessive legal charges to malcolm.simpson@walkermorris.co.uk and louise.power@walkermorris.co.uk.
It is expected of lawyers to advise consumers about their options, by providing a
cost benefits analysis, so they understand the choices available to them. It would allow KMC, who claim to be a responsible lender, to make informed decisions about whether it is in the best interest
to continue with a case and if so, how they should proceed. Walker Morris did not bother to adopt Good Costs Service or consider cost control options. It is profitable not to when dealing with cases for mortgage lenders. I feel this is unfair, as in most cases the ultimate payer is challenging a mortgage lender usually has been identified as having difficulties in affording their own legal representation and managing the cost of keeping their homes. I feel as Solicitors Kensington Mortgage Company and Walker Morris fail to consider what is a fair way of managing the costs of the case as it develops, knowing KMC will only pass on the costs.
I enclose the legal Ombudsman’s good service booklet I refer to:
https://www.legalombudsman.org.uk/downloads/documents/publications/Ombudsman-view-good-costs-service.pdf
When you write to complain to the Solicitors I forwarded the email to Report@sra.org.uk, The Solicitors Regulation Authority. The SRA are currently reviewing my charges complaint about Walker Morris Solicitors and I received a confirmation email of this from
POLEvaluations@sra.org.uk, whom you can also copy in.
For years it has been Luke David and Goliath, the big Lender and their lawyers fighting the borrower at the borrowers expense.
I hope you get a response Maggy50 .0 -
Somehow I get the impression Mrs May is possibly a little busy at the moment... but I’m sure she will just drop everything to respond lol0
