Are they desperate for the return of my ESA50 or something.... I mean the original letter advises to have the completed form returned by the 4th of May...
Yet today I receive in the post reminder.... OH YOUR BENEFITS WILL BE STOPPED IF NOT RECEIVED ON TIME.. Oh You'll get it on time when I put it recorded delivery /signed for the day before...

The 4th of May is only a week away and there is a Bank Holiday in the way to delay delivery to them. The form has to be received by the 4th and the reminder has been sent to you to avoid that happening. I suspect you may have come onto the board complaining about not receiving a reminder, if your benefit was stopped and you hadn't received one.
Playing games with DWP is not advisable as there will only be one winner, and it won't be you.0 -

I can guarantee they are not desperate for your ESA form. You seem to be suggesting that DWP should not send reminders out - that is an ill advised suggestion and as TELLIT says very well - you're playing a game with only one winner.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. We will cause you no trouble. We seek only to continue our research in peace".0 -

If you insist on posting it the day before make sure:
You post it first class, and
You do actually get proof of posting, and
You have sufficient resources to cope if the DWP do stop payments.
Dealing with the DWP is not a "game".Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
Would I.... They ask for something by the 4th May and that's the date there'll get it....
As for playing games with the DWP... they set the rules of the game which I play by
You should keep in mind that most DWP post goes to a mail sorting centre and can take 10 days to reach the correct people, I was once told by the DWP that sending stuff by recorded delivery was NOT a good idea.0 -

Correct on all counts. Documents need to be with the relevant department by the due date, not at the sorting office. Using recorded delivery adds to the cost without actually improving delivery speed.
But Swampey knows everything and will obviously get it right!0 -
Oh and what happens when Royal Mail delay it for 3 days?! 1st class is not guaranteed next day.Oh You'll get it on time when I put it recorded delivery /signed for the day before...
Oh and what happens when it takes a couple of days to get from the post room to the office that matters?!
Oh, I think someone is too cocky for their own good
