Because pensioners have already accumulated a pension. My opportunity to do that has been cruelly stolen from me by my incapacity to hold down my job.
I have NO pension, nor any way to save towards one because of my severely limited income.

I was never a "higher rate earner" - just below. I also earned a lot less for the five years I trained. I'm more entitled to DLA because I have a legally recognised disability, and that money helps me to pay for the massive changes in my life.
And I use my DLA to pay for taxis, because I don't have a driving licence, an expense I would not have if I was not disabled (over and above a car, I had one through work but I still paid towards it). Why do you pick and choose which parts of my post to read?0
