Hi
My parents are with BT, they won't change and i'm there at the moment.
Is there any way that I can make cheap international call to india? I might speak for an hour a day. maybe a few hours some days.
I'm aware that BT have a 'friends and family international' i'm not sure how much that costs to get the service. But it's about 25p for the first minute and 6p/min after the first minute. So £2.40 an hour.
I'm wondering what my other options are?
e.g. perhaps there's a number I can dial beforehand and then i'd get a cheaper rate?
Thanks.

You could open a prepaid account with https://www.localphone.com/call/india
They give you a 01/02/03 access number to call so its essential your parents have inclusive minutes, and you terminate calls before 60 minutes is up. You can of course ring again.
If they havent you can use there callback service where you pay for both legs of call. https://www.localphone.com/services/callback
No contract. No admin fees.No set up fees.
Another option purchase a Tesco Calling Card http://www.tescointernationalcalling.com/call-rates/#/India but you do need to have inclusive minutes as they use a 01/02/03 acess number.
You can access via a Freephone number but it doubles cost of call to 2p a minute.0
