You might make an offer, subject to that sale being terminated, if that's still possible. The agent is your friend here, just for once, (if he/she isn't implicated in the land sale.)
Mind you, the neighbour would never be your friend if that worked!0 -
Oh dear, my post was possibly a bit raaaah! That's what 9 hours driving does!
It's not going to be the place for me on reflection, a terrible shame. Sadly I genuinely believe the sellers did it because they didn't use it themselves but didn't really think into the future. Personally I would have popped a fence or something in to make it clear visually straight away. Yes of course it was their decision but my bugbear is with the EA picturing the lawn that doesn't belong in the sale. It's pretty naughty to spring that on viewers.
Back to the drawing board, choices are pretty slim right now. The other front runner has been on sometime and I've just discovered that there have been neighbour disputes over access/parking and a complaint about the porch blacking light. I'm investigating trying to find out when these were made and the details etc. Moving house is always very stressful I have MH difficulties. Trying to stay positive that it will happen. Sadly had a lot of bad properties (mould, damp, one, vacant, full of so many flies I feared there's a body hidden!)0 -
Is it actually sold, or just going through the sale process?

I will try and find out if the land is sold, completely. The neighbour is in a property that is right down the back so not next door. That would be a little close to home0 -

If you are, and it's not a fast moving area price wise, we often suggest here that people rent for a while, before making long distance purchases.
That way you are chain free and ready to go, which makes you a good prospect for sellers. You also have a better chance to suss-out unfamiliar areas and pick the better locations.0 -
Are you driving that far to view properties?

Yes i meant 7 hours, typo.
I'm planning to move into my mothers here if I don't find anything in time for moving. So I'm covered, we won't be homeless. A lot of storage space at hers, the rest would go into storage-not much as I've done a ruthless clearance over the months.
I know the area well so I'm going down every few weeks to veiw several places at once. Costing it out renting would burn a hole but I can see the logic
Keep hunting I suppose all good things etc0
