Small claims court - am I right to feel worried about this

I had a similar experience with a builder who made such a mess of our house, that I gave him a letter which detailed all mistakes and problems, and added that I was only paying him £XXX instead of £YYY. He took us to a Small Claims court and lost, because we had photos, a timeline and a statement from another builder about the work, on the second builder's stationary.
Don't lose faith in your own case, sounds like you have all the evidence you need.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Did the plans not include elevations and floor plans? If not, then what did they include?0

The plan we saw on Real Time Board was just the layout of the two rooms that we wanted to knock together with the planned small extension.
It's quite bizarre. A google search shows that the company have successfully submitted plenty of plans to local authorities before, so quite why they couldn't do ours is a mystery.0
