    Who is requesting what?

If you posted because you want an answer, you really must give us more to work from.

Is this the result of a routine audit?

BTW if you edit a post within two minutes, it doesn't show as an edit so you don;t need two posts within one minute...

Well it is the lender that asked for bank statements and some other questions

When called they said this is because of spot check . Not sure what this means though

It means your case has been pulled for a routine audit.

They have requested the documents which would normally be required for a full status case, such as;-

    ID/PoA
    Three months payslips
    Three months bank statements
    Proof of deposit.

This happens. You need to submit your documents ASAP and this will be a simple, short process.

    Thanks for this.

    I was really stressed

Does this mean the initial under writter randomly issues the offer?

They did ask for my payslip at the begining before issuing offer and now need bank statement

    Halifax?

You are asked for just one payslip as you score higher than others on its internal scoring chart (nothing to do with the Experian 999 bo**ox).

Then, one in twelve cases is pulled for routine audit where the usual "full status" documents are requested.

As long as it all stacks up, you'll be fine.

Funnily enough yes, in about 8.5% of our cases.

No. I'm an independent broker and Halifax is one of our regular lenders.
