House Leases

Options
I think it would be brilliant if Money Saving Expert wrote an article for what seems to be an increasingly lucrative area of the property market - for developers, that is. All the leasehold information I read generally relates to flats, so if you have a property dispute your rights are not listed.
I was very sensible and read the entire terms of my lease, however many residents on our 35 home estate feel as if the management company are 'ripping us off' and not completing the work as specified in the contract. It seems really tricky to make an argument against these firms, who it also appears will manage the lease. I have tried to find out more information on our rights, but information is very limited.
I am sure that there will be more and more people finding themselves in this situation, so a great article from Money Saving Expert that provides some useful information on this up and coming subject would be really appreciated.

If enough of you agree, you can form your own management committee to either manage direct or appoint a new management company.

I agree, it's a racket - some management companies really take the mickey
