Lease car - 40% remaining payable if total loss

    Yes. If lease company are going to insist on this even after insurance has paid up then surely they're going to ruin any future business.

    Like I said, spoken to dealer who says, in practice, they don't do this. As long as the insurance pays out. Like previous poster says, its likely a new lease will be required.

    BUT, the clause is in there. If the GAP insurance is not too expensive worth it anyway maybe just in case.

    Any recommendations?
