I smart solution claim - cant pay invoice?

I am writing on the behalf of my grandad so please forgive me i dont know the details of all the claims.

He made a claim for Lloyds bank PPI x5 through ismart.

All claims have come back with something, some more than others and he must pay their fees by 3.5.16.

This is fine, but their website isnt responding, their automated service is engaged, their phone payment service just rings and then a message comes that they arent available.

He doesnt own a check book but may be able to get to a bank. Just wanted to do it this way as its easier but now were worried as why cant we get through to them. They want our money surely? Are they just waiting for us to go past deadline so we owe more? Or am i being sceptical as ive heard of various problems with them?

Thank you for any help.

    Have you tried e-mailing them?

You're not the first person that has had problems contacting Bank Smart. It's not your fault that you can't contact them so keep a note of the times & methods that you've used to contact them and if & when they respond you have proof you've tried.

The OP said I-smart, not bank-smart. They are different.

You won't necessarily owe "more" if you don't pay by the deadline date. However, payment by cheque is not required when there are so many other options available. You could even send them a crossed Postal Order...they are still available and your Grandad should be well aware of them..
