Iberostar tropical and holiday village same place?

Hi all
Can anyone tell me if the Iberostar Tropical hotel and the holiday village (turkey) are the same place please?
I was about to book for the Iberostar tropical when I noticed its about £50 per person cheaper to book the holiday village and i've been told that they are on the same site and you can use the facilities at both.
Can anyone confirm this is true as i'll book the holiday village and save myself some money! I'm mostly concerned about food etc as we have no children travelling.
The reviews for the Iberostar are better than the holiday village. Seems strange if they are the same place?
Thanks for any help

They used to be the same place but have been split into two different hotels. We stopped at the Palace in June and we walked over to the Tropical and used there pools but you cant use the restaurants and bars. They are both AI but you get different colour bands. The palace is more for families (great kids clubs) and everyone is English. Tropical is more laid back and different nationalities. Hope it helps.0

Brilliant, thanks for the reply.
I'll have to reconsider my plans then. Saying that, im really surprised to see that the actual holiday price is going up (by £30 since I posted) I assumed as its now out of season that the prices would come down
