Hi all,
I started the Amazon prime free trial as was going to make a few purchases in a short space of time and wanted the free delivery advantage.
The trial has now ended and I've opted for the monthly payment so can cancel at any time if I want to. But, I just wanted to know if its worth doing or not. I don't think I'm getting my money's worth because I've not looked into the tv and movies etc as don't fully understand what the plus points to this is?
Can anyone who has Amazon prime please give me a few tips on getting the most out of it.
Thank you muchly

I just use it for the free one day delivery. I do have an Amazon Fire Stick with Prime Video but prefer to use Kodi for the TV and Movies as there is a better selection on Kodi.SuperSavingMummy wrote: »Hi all,

You've got to weigh up yourself whether you think it is worth it or not.
I purchased a NUS Extra card for £13 which has the added benefit of getting Amazon Prime free for 6 months then £39/year (£3.25/month). I feel that is worth the money.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Amazon Prime Music, as of today, now streams to Sonos. With free Prime deliveries, TV shows and films it is now good value for money.
PS Don't forget the one free Kindle Book loan a month. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I think I'm able to download the app on to my tv as its a smart tv so I'll have to have a look at that.

prime movies and shows has been great for us and the kids and worth the £59 it cost us for the year alone.
prime delivery is an added perk i 'spose.0 -
Really love mine. Next day delivery although I usually opt for no rush and get the £1 credit. Handy for renting new movies or buying kindle books, music etc. Love prime video, loads of movies and tv shows. Unlimited music and I think they do a kindle book lending service too. I think it's great value.0

I didn't realise you could get a credit for the no rush delivery option, will try and remember that the next time I'm in no hurry!!

You can get Amazon Prime Student without an NUS card, you just need a .ac.uk email to get the six month trial. The NUS website will have a voucher code though that you can use to get 5% discount on anything sold by Amazon.
There is a reasonable amount of good TV content and some films on Amazon Prime though, but I got the trial for the free postage more than the TV.0
