Car rental from Girona airport

Holiday autos come up with both Goldcar and Firefly for car rental from Girona airport.

But with all the bad threads about both car companies I wonder if anyone has a recommendation for another company from Girona airport or if for some reason Goldcar are OK from this airport???

Actually since Ryanair started flying to the real Barcelona airport as well as Girona, the answer is probably far fewer people do. However Goldcar are never to be recommended, walk rather than hiring from them. There are two decent car hire companies, Hertz and Europcar, at the airport, they may look more expensive but you are less likely to be robbed so check out their own websites

Thanks for that. The missus has decided on Europcar anyway as apparently although the basic cost with Goldcar is really low you get earache over excess insurance and the fuel policy..

Also easyjet flies to Barcelona which we've flown twice before but doesn't fly to Girona or if it does it's awkward flight times.
