Pet Insurance Default Notice

Options
Please any experience? I'm so worried.

Got a default notice letter today from more than for pet insurance. I cancelled my direct debit as I wasn't happy with the renewal. I completely forgot to phone up to cancel policy.

Has this already affected my credit file? I am going through the process of getting a mortgage! I am going to phone more than tomorrow but I can't stop worrying about it now. I will pay whatever they want but just hope somehow it might not hit my credit file.

The letter does state I have until 9th May before they take it further. Does that mean it would then show as a default on my credit file then and not before?

Don't want my mortgage to get turned down for this stupid mistake!
