Price or patience

Options
I put my flat up with purple bricks almost 2 months ago now and haven't had a single viewing. At first we were optimistic at putting it at a little higher price than the rest. We saw flats in the same complex at a similar price and went from there. We've since dropped it twice and still nothing.

However, I noticed the weekend there have been 2 new listings that have gone up on rightmove for almost £10k less than mine (they are no different apart from mine being ground floor).

Everybody keeps telling me price or patience but surely I'm just a pointless listing when there's 2 near enough identical to mine that are much lower.

I was hoping to be gone by the summer as the plan was to go travelling. I initially lost my job and had to sell my car, but I'm in another job now at much lower pay. My money is very so slowly ticking down and I'm having to live quite tight. I'll be fine and didn't mean to drag the original post off topic but just a little lost at the mo.

    You have a straight choice.

Drop the price or wait it out. Which is more important to you?

Right now, I just want out. I'll still make around 10k on what I paid on it if I did lower it but I'm guaranteed to feel question myself afterwards. "What if I'd have just waited another x amount of months for an extra few grand"..

It's been public on the net for over 2 months hasn't it?

That was sort of the point of using an online agent....

    Jesus christ....

    Calm down.

Why would the previous poster say 'if I feel brave enough' then?

It's fine not to post details :)

Some people have posted a link to the house/flat they are selling to get peoples opinions - I was only suggesting it in case it was something you wanted to do.

    Clearly something to hide then...

Because some people can be a little blunt about why they think your property isn't selling - not all sellers find that easy to read.

As I said it's fine not to want your username/any info you have posted previously to be linked up with the property you are selling.

Did you Base your asking price on sold figures or other asking prices? If others in the block are on for lower and you haven't a single viewing the price is too high.

You've gone with an online agent who doesn't actively try and send people though your door so the only way to tempt people is by price.
