Council Tax Wrong band Refund offer??

I've just had a telephone cold call, told me i was in the WRONG Council Tax Band & they could get it lowered! there would be a £60 + Admin fee ( that i would be refunded later along with the Tax ££££ Refund ?) - asked for my credit card number. (i did NOT give it!)
- Is anyone aware of a scam of this kind??
(as I said i would check this out - i thought i heard him say "!!!!!!"
as the call ended).
is there a genuine Govt. Agency doing this legit ??

Why pay a company anything at all?

Do it yourself.

Do not believe cold callers, by the way, they simply want your signature and won't have any special knowledge of your local area or CT band.
