Hi everyone
Looking for a bit of advice
as always if traveling from Gatwick Central Travelodge I use the online APCOA pre paid parking
And that's it, never had any problems in the past.
Returned back to my car yesterday to find a lovely windscreen ticket.
Dates for my parking were from the 12/4/16 up until 24/4/16 the Parking ticket was issued on the 19/4/16.
Is it best to just appeal and send proof of my pre paid parking ?
Many thanks !!:)

Yes but without saying you were driving! Just call yourself an occupant of the car.
And email Gatwick Central Travelodge and ask them to sort it out/cancel it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
Reason for ticket it says - parked without a valid payment or permit.
Maybe you are meant to print out a copy of your online booking and stick it on the dash ? But no where does it state to do so0 -

On APCOA's website:
What to do on Arrival
We do not issue tickets for pre-paid Bookings. The arrival procedures will vary by car park. In most cases you need to leave your booking form on the dashboard of your vehcile displaying clearly the booking period and Vehicle Registration Number (VRN), this should match the vehicle used by "you". To be sure please refer to the details provided on your booking confirmation form.

This appears to be the problem then!0 -

It does say this in the FAQ's, but bear in mind they live in PPC land:
I’ve been given a Parking Enforcement Notice (PEN) but I pre-paid for my parking, what should I do?
In the unlikely event of this happening, you must call the APCOA Customer Service Centre on 0844 332 1236. You will need to confirm the PEN number and your vehicle registration in addition to the Booking Reference Number you received on your booking confirmation form. If you have been given a PEN and we can validate your parking pre-payment, we will cancel your Parking Enforcement Notice.0 -
The 0844 number is premium rate and its use appears to be both a breach of Regulation 41 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and of the industry Code of Practice.
Additionally, if the call costs were not stated in close proximity to the number, this would appear to be a breach of the Ofcom regulations in force since 1 July 2015.0 -
Thankyou all for your help, much appreciated
managed to get hold of APCOA Via email and the ticket has been cancelled !
