CCJ assistance - trying to find out what's going on!?

Hi Everyone, first time posting so apologies if I'm in the wrong place.
Bit of a strange one and I'm not 100% sure what's going on - any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated!
I am moving home and a few weeks ago paid all my referencing and so on for the new property (renting). Salary etc and the ability to pay the rent isn't an issue and I filled out all the forms honestly - or so I thought.
My credit isn't great, but I've never had a problem renting (and rented 12 months ago with no problem at all).
However, my prospective lettings agency have just called and said that I have two CCJ's on file. Now, one I can imagine might be true, but not two.
Here are the facts:
2 x CCJ's registered in October 2013.
Both have an identical value of £5,853.00 (which leads me to believe that they have been duplicated)
I have rented a 12-month property for the past 2 years (different properties) and passed referencing both times, so why wasn't this CCJ (if true) found then? I did have a historic debt (which works out to be around the £5000-£6000) mark when I was at university as I disputed what Student Loans would pay... but I'm confused as to how this has only just surfaced?
I check my credit report each month on Noddle (although I know not the best, but for someone looking to rebuild, a free report is better than £15 per month for another one) and even after checking it just now there are no IVA's, CCJ's, Other Judgments or Notices of Correction here.
So MSE... here's what I'm desperate to know (and need to know before I find out whether I can rent or not!)
- How has this only just become apparent after 3 years?
- I've been given the court reference - but without knowing which court passed the judgment, who do I call?
- Why is noddle showing me as having no adverse history (except for some late payments and 1 old CC default? In fact, nothing from the debt I know about is showing on there at all....
Can anyone recommend anything? I may be able to get 6 months' rent in advance (through work, not a loan thank goodness) and can offer a bulk payment for the rent, but otherwise will look to room share or something.
Thanks

Quite often things like CCJs do not show if they have not been linked to your report. An old address not disclosed on your current report, a mismatch in the address/name format or details used, or other similar problems can mean something they do have a record for is just not matched to the report generated by the CRA. Then a few years later, it pops up when an application/check listing extra info or slightly different format makes the link to the data that wasn't being picked up before.

Can check here for a fee http://www.trustonline.org.uk/
It is very likely the CCBC for the court though, so:

Not all CRAs are always reported to for the same debts, and again, they can only list info that has been linked to the details you provide for the report.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

The letting agency might accept your tenancy if someone could sign as guarantor for you. Alternatively you could look for classified adverts and go directly through the landlord rather than a letting agency, as they may not check your credit report.
