Laminate flooring now slippery

Moved in about a year ago. The small bedroom has laminate wood flooring. We're using as our laundry room so there's one area where we all stand to use the iron. That area has now started to become slippery over the last few weeks.
I suspect because it's a high traffic area, the floor is being "polished". Short of using rugs, what can we do to solve the problem?

Number of solutions such as anti slip coatings which one you use would depend on laminate colour, type, location, foot traffic etc

Trouble with nearly all brush applied, stick on etc solutions is they tend to work by adding friction (Vallys and peaks) Which retain dirt dust grease etc if area is not cleaned regularly or with wrong type of cleaner (bleach and strong chemicals removes the coating also avoid using washing up liquid or high-sudsing, soapy , highly alkaline as they tend to leave a soapy deposits on floor unless rinsed several times) they
Many product used to protect flooring have antislip properties or can be made so by adding Anti Slip Additive / Granules (some call them micro granules) Most are used as paint additives but can be added to anything but you need to check size and colour etc ?
