Plumbing price question

I have just had a quote for having the following done in the downstairs shower room:
Install new shower tray and cubicle (quadrant 800)
Install new toilet and basin
Remove old radiator and cap it off
Install new towel radiator connecting through wall to kitchen radiator
Remove 4 old radiators and install 4 new ones. (This are staying in the same place, just replacing the old ones for new ones with bigger output)

I am supplying shower tray, cubicle, taps, shower valves and shower head, new toilet and basin, towel radiator and the 4 new radiators.

The quote I got is for £1600 which I think is far too excessive.

Does anyone know what I should be charge for this job?

Thanks for any advice!

Anne

Can I just ask if there is any tiling work to be done, i.e. around the new shower cubicle or where the radiator is being removed also around new sink and toilet ? Also are the 4 new radiators the same size as the old ones or is new pipework having to be run to accomadate different sizes? These things will add considerably to the cost if needed...

New radiators are same size as old ones and there is no tiling involved.
I live in Portsmouth and this plumber was recommended by a friend as being very reliable but he didn't know how he was price -wise because he never had to pay for any of his work since he rents his house and this plumber deals with his landlord.

Thanks , I guess then it does sound a bit excessive but its probably a weeks work so I would ask him if he can knock it down at least a couple of hundred but a good reliable plumber is worth his weight in gold so don't be surprised if he passes ....... most good plumbers have work coming out of their ears .

My brother is one and he actually now only does 'New' work , preferring not to have to deal with the problems that come with refitting bathrooms and replacing old with new....
