Does this count as mis sold?

Hi,
Looking for a bit of advice before I complain to my life insurance company.
When we bought our house 3 years ago we decided it would be a good idea to have wills drawn up, whilst the guy was here he also sold us life insurance.
I have been paying monthly ever since and it is due to renew for another year next month. I have found that the premium will increase and will continue to every year. I do not believe that this was explained to us at the time.
I am now going to take insurance out elsewhere but does this count as mis selling?
Thanks in advance

If it was an agent of the insurer then they can only sell their own product. If that is all they had then that is all they can sell. The illustration would have stated if it was YRT.
If it wasnt an agent of the insurer, then the insurer has no liability for complaint. So, no point to complaining to the them.
Either way, it would be a struggle to complain about. It is on the illustration and the statement of demand and needs.I don't remember ever getting any to be honest
So, no illustration at point of sale. No statement of demands and needs. No cancellation rights with a confirmation quote. No policy document? Thats a lot to not receive and it comes from different sources.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. First post- hopefully someone can help... 6 years ago when I bought my first house I took insurance with bank of Scotland. I'd a really old door at the back- old fashioned key etc... In the series of yes/no questions it asked 'are all doors 5 lever mortise or similar' which I then said no and explained. The paperwork said yes once it arrived, I again asked the bank and they said it was fine...don't worry about it.
I've realised that my insurance would have not paid out if there had been a claim but I never lied, it was the bank that declared all was well and good.
6 years later while cancelling my cover the bank did agree that my insurance was invalid. Anyone know how to take this further? Are there forms I can fill out? Thanks in advance0 -
If you want to make a complaint then a letter will suffice (keep a copy)
If you aren't happy with the reply or they ignore you for 8 weeks you can then escalate the matter to the FOS for their adjudication at no cost to you0
