Clearly you need to look for somewhere else but an unprotected deposit puts you in a strong position. The possibility of you claiming up to three times the deposit should allow you to negotiate a leaving time to suit you, once you have your new tenancy lined up, and full return of your deposit.

But I would firstly double check that your deposit is unprotected. There are only a few schemes to search.

Thanks everyone! Finding a new place is absolutely number 1 priority. No desire to be here whatsoever since we have become nothing but scum to them now that they want to sell. Will give another couple of chances before I start being massively awkward about viewings ... worst comes to worst they serve notice (illegally?) and then its no viewings at all till we are out!

If your deposit is not protected they can't serve a valid section 21 so they can't make you leave.
