Nhbc warranty loose plasterboard?

Hello all
the light fittings in the bathrooms in my new build house (built just over 5 years ago) are loose so the screws in the light fittings are loose and the wires are showing. This has now happened in 3 bathrooms - initially I thought it was just a loose screw in a fitting badly done but an electrician told me that the plasterboard is loose- should nhbc be paying to fix these?
Kind regards

NHBC will not be covering this issue. It is not deemed a major structural fault. Further, there is probably an excess on the policy and this work would cost out at lower than the excess.
After five years any work will be deemed your responsibility and part of the joys of home ownership.0 -
sounds like a load of carp to me, plasterboard loose? so it moves upwards if you push it?
More likely electrician has missed the joists when fitting lights, easiest thing to do is lay a flat batten of timber on the board from inside the loft then screw into it. Unless your mounting huge chandeliers this will sort it.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0
