Outside tables

A rather mundane question, but apt for a sunny Sunday!

Decided that for the days I work from home, it might be nice to sit outside with my laptop (looking for a 3metre external extension cord btw!, if one to be recommended). So... I need a table. Question is, do I just go cheap (something like this) or go for something a bit pricier?

Only reason I'm considering the latter is because my patio's not overly level, and there's no storage space in the shed, so it seems the more expensive one would keep the bird poo off a bit better, and not blow away?

Or has the sun got to my head, this is cray talk, and a vast waste of cash?

I have never been able to work outside on the laptop or tablet as there never seems to be a place to sit that the glare of the sun doesn't affect being able to see the screen. If you are planning to work outside I would get a parasol too so that you can actually see the screen.

Personally, I think with outside furniture you get what you pay for. A solid table will last for years, a cheap one will rust and fall apart within a few years.

tbh if I got a few years out of a fifteen quid table, I'd be delighted ;)
  • Don't buy the £15 one.

Check Freecycle before you buy anything.

But, with the 2 tables used as examples, would the dearer one last five times as long as the cheap one?

No, probably not! I didn't look at them. But the£15 one wouldn't last I shouldn't think
