Ryanair cancellation??????
Lynsey
I'm due to go to Dublin next Tuesday on a "freebie" courtesy of Ryanairs free flight offer.
Unfortunately, my brother is in the critical care unit at the local hospital and won't be out for another few weeks.
Can I cancel without any charges, even though the flights were free, or do I just not "show"????????????????
Which is the best option????????
Thanks,
Lynsey

He's a long way from being ok, but on the mend eventually.
Many thanks.

As DUKE says, there is no need to even think a moment further about it. No shows occur all the time with Ryanair's cheap flights. I've done it several times when I have decided one leg or both on my ticket are no longer convenient.
There's no comeback.
For others reading this thread, a possibly interesting thing about not turning up for the outbound flight on a return booking with Ryanair is that you can still turn up for the return leg and expect it to work just fine, no questions asked. Again, have done that several times.
Best wishes for your bro's swift recovery...0 -

Again many thanks, but if won't be swift.
This help has taken one small problem away.
I honestly thought it would be best to cancel. It would give them a chance to re-sell the tickets.

if you ring them to cancel they will charge you a huge amount for the cancelation, they will actually advise you on the phone not to turn up rather than cancel.
i know it makes no business sense at all, like you say they could re-sell the seats but a no show is the best option.
hope this helps0
