Purchases / Balance Transfer Question

in Credit cards
Hello all!
I currently have a store card balance (currently interest free on buy now pay later, thankfully!) with Argos. Yesterday I applied for (and was accepted) a credit card that offers 25 months 0% interest on purchases, and 12 months 0% interest on balance transfers.
My question is this. If I were to log into the store card account, and then use my credit card to pay off the outstanding balance (i.e. not specifically indicating that it's a balance transfer), from my credit card company's point of view, would this count as a purchase (and be covered by the 25 months interest free period), or would it still count as a balance transfer (and be covered by the 12 months interest free period)?
Would that method even be allowed?
I'm new to credit cards so I'm not sure what the correct route would be.
Many thanks in advance!
Chris
