Good Morning everyone it's odd sort of weather here this morning we started off sunny, then a great belt of grey cloud dropped a tiny bit of rain and now it's beautifully sunny and blue sky again. We're not forecast rain today but being coastal that's always changeable!!!
Work has begun again on the fence panels, they're only doing one today as they have to re-set one of the concrete support posts before they can put up the panel and they're both a bit creaky form having done 4 yesterday. I've done the ironing and the housework, no need to cook today as we've more chilli from last night in the fridge so I'll be having an easy day, albeit with nothing planned.
Have yourselves a nice day everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning all,
Lovely bright day here I have the bedding in the wm and a towel load on the line, will hopefully get them dried today.
I need to pop dd over to a shop today as she wants to pick something and then will take the bear out for her walk, will go for a nice long one today.
Dinner will be a sausage and onion pie which FIL bought us from a local pie shop which is famed for its pies, so looking forward to that, will do some cubes garlic roasties and some green veg.
Need to have a good clean through today as well.
Have good days all xx0 -
No Candygirl it's Longton in Staffordshire.

Hugs to all that need one .0 -

Hello everyone, I am late again posting as I had an eventful night. 13 year old son was sick during the night and woke me to help. Poor thing had said he had tummy ache yesterday evening. He seems a lot better this morning, after laying in until 11.
I felt exhausted last night and still not 100% awake now. I have washed up lots and cleaned the kitchen. I have also put a load of washing on the line, but it does look a bit overcast at the moment. I also have a few white things in the machine to go out, if it doesn't rain.
My daughter had a lovely time in London but came back totally exhausted. She is still asleep and I will leave her as she has an early start tomorrow for college.
Hard up Hester do hope you manage to get some rest. I hope things relax for you. Do look after yourself. xx
Hugs to everyone struggling. I am sorry I do not name each person but I do eventually read all the posts even though I am a later poster.
Have a good day everyone xx“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -
I suddenly remembered that I'm dog sitting a very small Yorkshire terrier for my son's boss in the near future so 'I've mown the lawn. I don't want to lose the dog in the undergrowth!
I really enjoyed spending an hour in the garden, my white Love Lies Bleeding is flowering, the pink one always flowers a bit later.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Hi all,
Candlelight - glad to hear Hubby is doing well X
Sorry to hear some of you are having problems sleeping, hope you get a chance to catch up X
We had a late start this morning, shared the bed with hubby, 3 out of the 4 cats, coffee and a bit of Andrew Marr - purrrfect
Bright and breezy here, so loads of washing is on the line, have baked a whole orange cake, to use up fruit, a quiche with leeks, sweetcorn and a load of flat leaf parsley is in the oven - might make a rhubarb crumble as it's taking over the top of the garden..
Roast pork for dinner about 6 as DS2 is doing his second 12 hour shift at his new job - he really enjoyed his first day, came home, ate and slept LOL
Enjoy your Sunday all XNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Hi chums .I would highly recommend the Staffs area for a holiday, as there seemed so much to do and the folk were lovely The shops were gorgeous and it made such a nice change to see so many 'independent' shops as well.
As a southerner by birth and mainly visiting further north to Scotland as a rule the northwest area often seems to be overlooked.
Great place, great food (too much at times)and friendly people what more could anyone ask for on a break.
I have been to many far-flung spots in my long life and now appreciate my own country a lot more. Hanging around airports and travelling really has lost its appeal to me now. I am happy to jaunt of to a place in the UK .
My friend literally gets the map out and shuts her eyes and waves her finger around and drops it on the map, and that's where we usually go to.We have had some smashing spring time breaks in Gloucestershire,Hampshire,Dorset,Norfolk,Devon,Cornwall, Cotswolds and Derbyshire over the past few years I think we may try Wales next year.
I have English Heritage and she has National Trust so 'stately' homes are our interest along with gassing to the locals
So if you happen to see two old biddies gabbing away and trawling the C/S its likely to be us on our travels:):)
She got a huge box of building blocks for her little grandson in Congleton for £2.50 plus some Barbie dolls which we will make clothes for for his twin sister .
I seemed to find various odd balls of wool for silly money in one C/S which will go into my stash for my charity blankets that I knitWe are avid C/S trawlers
I came home with three frozen left over chicken thighs as well which I turned into a curry yesterday and there is enough for two meals, I had a small cauliflower that I found at the market reduced to 20p so half of that went into the curry as wellNowt has been wasted
My washing is dry and I have a bit of ironing to do later.Eldest DD came this morning, and we had a good long natter about the holiday.I am going to youngest DD's around five for dinner, and will see my DGS and give them their small presents that I have bought.
NSDs for several days as I have brought so much lovely stuff back with me.The ham I portioned up and its in the freezer.
My head is still stuffed up,but I am hoping it will go shortly (the stuffed up feeling not my head:):))
My nephew has texted me this morning to say Davey has been moved to a seperate sterile ward as he is on this special chemo in Poitiers Hospital. He is staying on in France for a bit longer as he is so worried about his Dad, but he says the treatment he is getting is superb.
Steven is a radiographer at Kings College hospital in London so he is pretty clued up about his Dad's treatments and says he could not be in a better place.
Well time for a cuppa chums .It was good to be back in my own bed again as there is really nothing like it is there
Cheers everyone

Up at sparrow-fart for Alfie's walkies again. It was beautiful sunshine, but oh so c-c-cold! He walks so nicely beside the buggy, though - I wish all the dogs I look after were as easy as he is!
It's his final night with us tonight; and we're unlikely to see him again, as his owners are moving out of the area, so he'll go to a new host, nearer his new home for his next holiday. It's been fun though.
I'm still coughing and spluttering - and going through the hankie drawer like there's no tomorrow. I think I'll have to do a hankie wash tomorrow (I'll set it up tonight to come on early tomorrow morning).
We bought some whisky when we did our shop in Herr A's today, and we have lemons and honey in the house, so Mr LW will make up hot toddies for us later. Mine to try and cure the damn cold, and his as a preventative measure. That's his story, anyway. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Unusual news from me!
I made a list of the jobs I needed to achieve today and now they are all done.
Quick break and then I will start Sunday dinner.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0
