Coursera has some good (and free) finance courses.
You may also want to check out the finance section at the Student Room for insights from people studying (or wanting to study) finance: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=2620 -
I would echo what others have said. You will need a 2:1 degree from a top university (or a 1st in a specialist field from a mid-tier University) with a sweep of 4-5 A's at A-level in good subjects and preferably including Maths. Extremely high comprehension skills as well as excellent inter-personal skills (for most roles).
If you're planning to start at the bottom of the ladder you need to have a super-human disregard for your own personal free time, sleep, nutrition and general good health0
