Thanks
Situation is side gate on semi detached house is locked inside with a pad lock.
Can't find the key for the pad lock.
From what I can see of it if I can't find the key (only used it 2 days ago) unscrew the complete attachment from the gate, put it in the vice and hacksaw or jigsaw it off. Then replace lock.
I hate when you can't find something.

After you last used the key to open the gate, where did you go? Have you searched clothes / bags etc you had with you on that day?Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

The keys are behind that block of notepaper on the desk. Well that's where the wife found mine after I'd spent hours looking for them.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

My mother would have told you to ask St. Antony to help find them.0

Remove lock as you describe and take it to a locksmith to see if they can make you a new key.0

It's probably cheaper to replace the padlock or even the whole hasp than getting a key cut.
Can you post a photo of the lock/hasp arrangement?0 -
Surely if you can unscrew it without removing the lock, there's not much point in having a lock.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0
